Like Pickles & Peanut Butter.

My lovely husband, Jordan, and I have completely different ideas of what jokes are funny, what good music sounds like, what should be considered art, and just about every thing else under the sun. He likes to blast rap music or of course my all time favorite- metal, while I love listening to my dad's old Simon and Garfunkel records. He comes home laughing about some pretty crude jokes he hears from the guys at work, while I still giggle at jokes about chickens crossing roads. If you haven't gotten the picture yet, check out his tumblr and see for yourself. I love him to death, but I think what makes our marriage work {no matter how ridiculous it may be} is how different we really are.

Except that just the other day, while checking out his tumblr and looking through the ridiculous pictures he posted, I saw this letterpress card. I laughed so hard I almost peed my pants. For some reason, we finally found something we both think is funny! I know you are probably thinking, big deal, but trust me it is a BIG deal. I definitely had to go buy this card today. This may be the only time in our lives we both laugh at the same thing... well, except for Family Guy of course.

ProjectThreeSixtyFive: Week Nine.

This Bible heart picture is by far my favorite picture in my 365 set so far. I know this picture has been taken a million times, by a million different people, but I just had to take one of my own. I've been playing around with the manual focus mode on my camera, and enjoying taking pictures so much more. I really need to learn more about the camera in general, because taking a picture a day gives me so much more time to work on it. I'm hoping to start working through the online camera lessons again soon. Maybe I just need a little motivation- anybody want to do it with me?

P.S. Want to hear another funny Jordan sleep-talking story? This morning when I woke him up this was our conversation:

Me: Jordan I forgot to wake you up, it's 6:52!
Jordan: HAHAHAHA What does thaaat mean?
Me: What do you mean?
Jordan: What is that some new hairdo your trying, the "652"?!
Me: No, it's the time you dork!
Jordan: How was I supposed to know?

The Return Of The Sleeptalker.

Jordan is probably going to kill me for posting this, because I haven't even told him about it yet. But it's just too funny to not share, and I'm sure Liz is going to get a kick out of this- I'm pretty sure he was dreaming about you in this one!

Last night I got to bed pretty late because I stayed up Skypeing with Hannah. Jordan was sound asleep, and this was the conversation we had. I about peed my pants it was so funny:

Jordan: Hey have you seen my artwork?
Me: What artwork?
Jordan: My artwork, it's hanging from the ceiling (he points up).
Me: HAHA, yeaaahh now I see it.
Jordan: You really need to make a hole in the wall.
Me: What? A hole in the wall?
Jordan: Yeah for my Mexicans?
Me: YOUR WHAT?
Jordan: For MY Mexicans! You need to make a hole in the wall so they can get out and get to work already! They need to get to work.

Ohhhh boy, what in the world goes through his head when he's asleep?

My Number One.

Last night I decided to spend this week blogging about all the things I am thankful for in my life. I know Jordan was already included in my family post, but I just have to say again how grateful I am to have found him. If you had told me five years ago I'd soon find my best friend and marry him shortly after, I would have laughed at you. But here we are. Here are the top five reasons why I'm so thankful for Jordan:

1. He is the sweetest, most gentle guy (when he wants to be). I think he might even be more sensitive than me, if you can believe that. He's always there for me when I need him, and he is my best friend.

2. He makes me laugh, even if it's just at how ridiculous he is. I mean honestly, do you know any other guy that loves Muppet Babies and listens to Metal? Yeah, I didn't think so. Plus, he's always got new jokes (some a little too inappropriate for my taste, but funny nonetheless).

3. He is reallyreallygoodlooking (read that with a Zoolander accent please). He also dresses nicer than me, not joking.

4. He loves kids and wants to start a family with me (some day soon hopefully). He is even going to let me name our daughter Dandelion, which is my dream.

5. We share the same faith and dreams in life. Yup, we were meant for eachother and no matter how hard things can get- because trust me marriage isn't all kisses and smiles- we will always be in love.

We are going to have the best Christmas cards this year. And no I'm not using these pictures, but I'll show you the others soon!

P.S. I fixed up my blog over the weekend. Let me know what you think.

I ♥ Jordan.

And Jordan loves his BBQ.

Oh, and I tried to convince Horton to be a vegetarian with me, but apparently he loves a good slab of meat as much as his dad does.

Hello.

This is Jordan (Ashley's husband) just wanted to say...

Go Giants!

That's all, goodnight.

26th.

I love you so much.

Here are a few pictures from Jordan's little shindig this weekend.

What I Know For Sure.

1. They are beautiful:

2. Diamond looks adorable in the bow I made her:

3. Shereen is an amazing artist:

4. Joshua likes to drink beer:

5. Jordan doesn't exactly follow directions:

Now, let me explain that last one. I sent him to the store to buy a patch for our air mattress because we had company this weekend. He came back with a machete. I'll give him some credit because he did buy the patch. But really, who buys a machete late at night from Wal-Mart? Apparently my husband.

Ghost Towns.

On Sunday, Jordan suggested that we go up to Amador County for lunch. It was such a fun day, and ended up being quite the little adventure. At our first stop, a huge rattle snake slithered across our parking spot and decided to hang out under the car next to my door. Instead of running away [like me], Jordan, and a few other guys that came over to see the snake, decided to taunt the stupid thing with rocks in attempt to get a picture. Boys will be boys, right? At least he made it out alive, I suppose. We ended up going to quite a few little antique stores, a museum, and had lunch in an adorable ice cream shop.

Then, the weirdest thing happened. On our way home, we passed through a small town called Drytown. There was an antique store on the side of the freeway with it's doors wide open, and a bunch of stuff on display outside. We pulled over, and went inside. This place was insane. The picture below is only a small part of the front of the store. It was packed from ceiling to wall with stuff, and a lot of it was actually really good antiques. I found a bunch of amazing cross stitches, and a whole collection of beer steins [Jordan collects them]. Nothing had prices on them, however, so I asked Jordan to find the owner. Well, guess what? He couldn't find anyone. We looked and looked, but we were all alone. Outside there was a truck, with it's keys just sitting on a table nearby. We even went to the antique furniture store next door, but it was empty as well. Jordan got creeped out and said if we stayed any longer, we'd probably get murdered by the 'town-folk'. I didn't want to leave without all the stuff I found, but he won [for now]. Our conclusion was that the owner was either drunk at the bar across the street, or was killed and we just didn't see the body.

And I'm being serious when I say that this picture only shows a small part of the store. Crazy, huh? I can't wait to go back.

The Huz.

I had to drag Jordan, screaming and yelling, to the backyard so that I could play with my camera. I swear, why don't boys like having pictures taken of them? It's so odd.

Isn't he just adorable?

P.S. I made a blog button. Yes, I gave in and geeked out [for way too long] until I finally figured out how to make one. I also added some of your buttons to my sidebar, so if I didn't add yours let me know.

The Food Tunnel.

I almost forgot about this. I am busting up laughing right now, this is just too funny.

Last night Liz and Glenn came over, and Jordan went to bed early. So by the time I was ready for bed, he was sound asleep. When I hopped into bed, he jumped up and swung at me. Seriously, almost knocking me out. I still had the light on so I saw him coming at me, and was able to duck out of the way. He screamed "HEY!", as he tried to punch me in the face. I automatically started laughing hysterically, and asked him what in the world was wrong with him. He then said (not joking), "I was trying to move the food tunnel out of the way." When I asked him what a "food tunnel" was, he answered "You know, like in the Jetsons, the food tunnel that feeds you. It was in the way." He then turned over and started snoring.

Dear dream interpreters, please tell me what the heck is wrong with my husband?
