I thought about deleting my blog a few times, thought about just ignoring it forever, and every once in awhile I'd say to myself "I wish I still wrote in that darn thing". But I couldn't justify starting again, and of course I over analyze everything. I'm a mom now, I've got laundry to wash, diapers to change, and a baby to play with. What reason do I have to start blogging again? Isn't it just a waste of my valuable nap time hours? Well, maybe but who cares. It takes just a few minutes a day and it's fun. I like writing, I enjoy sharing pictures with whoever wants to see, and really I don't care that I don't have a reason to blog besides the fact that I want to.<br />
<br />
Or maybe I just want to because I should be working out right now. Yeah, that could be it too. But regardless, I'm here.<br />
<br />
Now I won't do a recap of the last eight months, I'm pretty sure anybody that's reading this already knows what happened. I continued to get really pregnant, and you know what happens next- the baby comes out, the sleep goes away, the baby grows, and life is never the same. I absolutely love being a mother. It's the best, most amazing, challenging, emotional, difficult, and sometimes downright hilarious thing I've ever done.<br />

I went ahead and bought a <a href="http://www.target.com/p/Juiceman-1-1-HP-2-Speed-All-in-One-Automatic-Juice-Extractor-and-Citrus-Juicer/-/A-13192825">cheaper one from Target,</a> and it works amazingly! It makes so much juice, and is super easy to clean up. <br /><br /><center><img src="http://images.instagram.com/media/2011/09/07/5afab439d23a4fd688269f7c6ee28160_7.jpg" width="400"></center><br /><br />My favorite so far is cantaloupe/apple, and plum/peach/apple. Do you have a juicer? What are your favorite drinks? I need recommendations (especially veggie ones because I've only tried one and didn't really love it).Ashley Grayhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16174120323022120302noreply@blogger.com6tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5283625589852694447.post-42479607401693951652011-09-06T13:02:00.001-07:002011-09-06T13:06:11.441-07:00Answered.Sometimes prayers take awhile to be answered. Three weeks ago <a href="http://wheremyheartresides.com">Ashlee</a> took my first <a href="http://wheremyheartresides.com/2011/08/16/ashley-jean/#comments">maternity pictures</a>, and I love how they turned out. She's doing another round once I get huge, probably around 35 weeks. Hopefully next time she won't have to yell at me to "push OUT", in order to get some proper belly shots. <br /><center><br /><img src="http://wheremyheartresides.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/ashley-71.jpg" width="400"><br /><img src="http://wheremyheartresides.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/ashley2.jpg" width="400"><br /><img src="http://wheremyheartresides.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/ashley-241.jpg" width="400"><br /></center><br />In other news, I'm having the hardest time finding a diaper bag that I like. I'm so picky, I know, but there just aren't very many cute ones to choose from. At first I wanted one that looked like a purse, but they are all either too shiny or too flashy (or too expensive<a href="http://www.storksak.com/product.php?shopprodid=147&variantid=408"> like this one</a>) so I gave up on that. I really only like plain leather bags, so that just wasn't happening. I definitely don't want a typical printed diaper bag, one with flowers or something equally as annoying on it. I just like simple. So, I think I found the one I want. Granted it's a "dad diaper bag", I think it's perfect. It's from Petunia Pickle Bottom's Scout line. What do you think? <br /><center><br /><a href="http://shop.nordstrom.com/S/petunia-pickle-bottom-scout-journey-pack-diaper-bag/3152347?origin=keywordsearch&resultback=1376"><img src="http://www.poshtots.com/_common/_assets/product_images/133/16747_PD2.jpg" width="400"></a><br /><br /><small>{click for source} </center></small>Ashley Grayhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16174120323022120302noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5283625589852694447.post-53335663935134773092011-08-07T08:00:00.000-07:002011-08-07T08:00:02.310-07:00Dear Irmi.I had this <a href="http://www.thebabygardner.com/blog/2010/01/irmi-nursery-plastics-vintage-icons/">vintage Irmi</a> lamp in my bedroom as a child. Being the terror that I was, I'm sure it was mostly my fault that it fell to pieces and had to be thrown away. When I saw it this past year at my favorite antique store, I had to buy it. It's going to be perfect in Rainier's nursery. <br /><br /><center><img src="http://ny-image1.etsy.com/il_570xN.248632917.jpg" width="300"></center><br /><br />Also, what do you think about that green (the base of the ferris wheel) for wall color?Ashley Grayhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16174120323022120302noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5283625589852694447.post-50945189142336405152011-08-03T15:28:00.000-07:002011-08-03T15:48:31.542-07:00Nursery Prints.Even before I was pregnant, I designed the baby's nursery in my head and even started shopping. The only problem though, is that without meaning to I came up with a pretty girly looking room. So now it's time to incorporate more boyishness in my plan, and my first step is to find some cute prints. I was originally going to use all the prints I have in my bedroom already, but trust me they are way too girly for a little boy room- I'm not sure how Jordan puts up with them! Here are a few I have found on etsy:<br /><center><br /><a href="http://www.etsy.com/listing/57278316/7x9-print-jaime-ma-maman"><img src="http://ny-image0.etsy.com/il_570xN.177659000.jpg" width="300"> </a><br /><br /><a href="http://www.etsy.com/listing/64982925/i-prayed-for-this-child-bible-verse-art?ref=sr_gallery_19&ga_search_submit=&ga_search_query=i+prayed+for+this+child&ga_order=date_desc&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_ship_to=US&ga_search_type=handmade&ga_facet=handmade"><img src="http://ny-image2.etsy.com/il_570xN.204504806.jpg" width="300"></a> <br /><br /><a href="http://www.etsy.com/listing/62438303/my-favorite-book-is-blue-archival-print"><img src="http://ny-image1.etsy.com/il_570xN.194943865.jpg" width="300"></a><br /><br /><a href="http://www.etsy.com/listing/62582479/7x9-print-take-me-for-a-walk-boy"><img src="http://ny-image0.etsy.com/il_570xN.195434948.jpg" width="300"></a><br /><br /><a href="http://www.etsy.com/listing/67126577/abc-poster-white?ref=sr_gallery_12&ga_search_submit=&ga_search_query=abc+poster&ga_order=date_desc&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_ship_to=US&ga_page=3&ga_search_type=handmade&ga_facet=handmade"><img src="http://ny-image3.etsy.com/il_570xN.213157951.jpg" width="300"></a><br /><br /><a href="http://www.etsy.com/listing/62716195/hedgehog-print-8x10?ref=sr_gallery_31&ga_search_submit=&ga_search_query=berkley+illustrations&ga_order=date_desc&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_ship_to=US&ga_spelling_corrected=berkely+illustrations&ga_page=2&ga_search_type=handmade&ga_facet=handmade"><img src="http://ny-image1.etsy.com/il_570xN.195881381.jpg" width="300"></a><br /><br /><a href="http://www.etsy.com/listing/77993643/platypus-print-4x6"><img src="http://ny-image1.etsy.com/il_570xN.257808165.jpg" width="300"> </a><br /><small>{click images for sources}</small><br /></center><br /><br />I've also decided on a new color scheme, which includes a gray crib and yellow changing table.Ashley Grayhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16174120323022120302noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5283625589852694447.post-10199502607225760272011-08-01T18:47:00.000-07:002011-08-01T18:54:15.853-07:00Mud Cloth & More.Like I mentioned before, Hannah has a bunch of new designs available in her<a href="http://www.hannahlenore.goodsie.com"> shop</a>. These were all designed and created by Hannah while in Kenya, using some pretty incredible African fabric. Hannah is continuing her missionary work until November, when she will be coming home for a bit. Hannah plans on returning to Africa in the future as well, and as a missionary work she has to raise 100% of the funding she needs to be able to live and work there. This <a href="http://www.hannahlenore.goodsie.com">shop</a> is Hannah's way of raising funds, as all the proceeds go directly to support her and her cause. <br /><br />Here are a few pictures of her newest collection. <br /><center><br /><img src="http://dxkdul4cprxwx.cloudfront.net/caa6b9bd0aae4e4197749facfb467296_orig.jpg" width="300"> <br /><img src="http://dxkdul4cprxwx.cloudfront.net/a8669ba6971d4f5d8d2f617dc4713231_orig.jpg" width="300"> <br /><img src="http://dxkdul4cprxwx.cloudfront.net/b799675075514b8da33ca622ec6bd6df_orig.jpg" width="300"> <br /><img src="http://dxkdul4cprxwx.cloudfront.net/6f544e5f8a1b4832953396b34248127e_orig.jpg" width="300"> <br /><img src="http://dxkdul4cprxwx.cloudfront.net/3f087e05fd1044cc9870168fe1450c2b_orig.jpg" width="300"> <br /><img src="http://dxkdul4cprxwx.cloudfront.net/69124d7b798546bdb133f4bca94679e5_orig.jpg" width="300"> <br /></center><br />Do you recognize <a href="http://www.srslyliz.com">one of the models</a>? She continues to need support for her amazing missionary work, which comes 100% from her online shop. The Kenya dress, which is now on sale, is the perfect summer dress that can be dressed up or down. I love wearing mine with moccasins and a leather belt, but I plan on dressing it up for special occasions this summer as well. The top layer is a beautiful sheer fabric that lays over a flowered/printed fabric underneath. The dress comes in three different colors, each with a matching ribbon belt. <br /><br /><a href="http://goodsie.com/store/hannahlenore"><img src="http://dxkdul4cprxwx.cloudfront.net/7f2228b0e3bd433abc43265fa577a405_820x820.jpg" width="400"></a><br /><br /><a href="http://goodsie.com/store/hannahlenore"><img src="http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5262/5641319023_da56fcc91d_o.jpg" width="400"></a><br /><br /><a href="http://goodsie.com/store/hannahlenore"><img src="http://dxkdul4cprxwx.cloudfront.net/5a1bd6533331405384d671c5ffdacad6_820x820.jpg" width="400"></a><br /><br /><a href="http://goodsie.com/store/hannahlenore"><img src="http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5149/5641888432_6f3d858967_o.jpg" width="400"></a>Ashley Grayhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16174120323022120302noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5283625589852694447.post-55324893005031371182011-06-25T09:57:00.000-07:002011-06-25T10:10:05.053-07:00Ouch.<center><img src="http://images.instagram.com/media/2011/06/24/8b2b972ddce34b17b953777fd70395b3_7.jpg" width="300"></center><br /><br />Last night we went to a pre-grand opening for the Yard House in Roseville. I was so excited to go out with Jordan and a couple of my favorite friends. Until I ate that is, and everything went downhill. I ended up practically running out of the restaurant and crying the entire way home because I was so sick. But this is just a preview of what my days have become lately.<br /><br />My first trimester went pretty wonderfully, minus the being <i>extremely</i> exhausted part. But then my summer job started up again, and everything has gone downhill. Working 40 hours a week, 80% of which are spent in the hot sun, with 20 something very energetic 7-year-olds has taken it's toll on me. My migraines have come back with a vengeance and the nausea that I was so happy to have avoided until now has been hitting me pretty hard. I had to ask my boss for one day off a week, specifically field trip days because those are the hardest, and I knew one of the lifeguards would fill in for me. While he wasn't exactly pleased, he made it work and I now have Wednesdays off. <br /><br />Now I'm just praying that the little mid-week break from all the madness will provide rest my body is begging for. And hopefully I'll have a positive update soon.Ashley Grayhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16174120323022120302noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5283625589852694447.post-68145107219870974712011-06-14T19:40:00.001-07:002011-06-14T19:55:18.256-07:00Party Planning.Okay, now I realize it's June and I have another five months before my baby shower. But I love party planning and all the amazing ideas I've found on Pinterest. Even though my sister is going to throw the shower (she'll be home in early November), I decided I could put together a little something for inspiration. Yes, I'm that controlling SHH! Plus we are going to rent out the <a href="http://fairoakspark.org/wp-content/uploads/library1b.jpg">old Fair Oaks library building</a>, because the guest list is about 80+ women. If our little gummy bear is a girl, her name will be <b>Dandelion Lenore Gray</b>. And if he's a he, his name will be <b>Rainier DeForrest Gray</b>. Now most people, or at least 80% of people I ask, think that Rainier is a good name but they aren't so sure about Dandelion. The biggest reason I've been given is, "She'll get made fun of so much when she's in Elementary School". I always argue, saying people name their kids the craziest things nowadays, nobody will even think it's weird by the time she's in Kindergarten. Well, today I got proof- and some pretty amazing insight considering nobody has thought twice about our boy name up to this point.<br /><br /><center><img src="http://data.whicdn.com/images/8173461/12890296017263_large.jpg?1300922609" width="400"></center><br /><br />Well, today was my last day in the 5th grade class where I've been long-term subbing. I decided to tell them I am pregnant, because I'll be student teaching at the same school next year, so they will obviously be wondering where that huge tummy came from. They were so stinking excited, it was adorable. Then they asked what the names where that I had picked out. I figured this was an excellent time to get some good feedback from the true experts. I told them our girl name, and they thought it was perfect. They said they wouldn't make fun of a girl named Dandelion, and they loved the nickname Andi. One girl even said that it was a "perfect" name for my daughter because of "the way I am and how cool I am". Yeah, pretty amazing.<br /><br />Then I told them the boy name, without thinking twice. A few asked, in shock, what I had said. I repeated the name and immediately at least six different kids started singing, "Rudolph the red nose <i>Reindeer</I>". One of the boys said, "we would definitely make fun of that kid, we'd call him Rudolph". And another said, "I'm sorry Mrs. Gray, but you should probably come up with a different boy name." I about died laughing, but Jordan didn't when I called him to tell him- he picked out the name.<br /><br />But now we know, Dandelion is a perfectly acceptable name in a 10 year old world. But Rainier, on the hand, is way too close to Reindeer and just flat out sounds funny. <br /><br /><b>"We'd definitely make fun of that kid!"</b>Ashley Grayhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16174120323022120302noreply@blogger.com9tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5283625589852694447.post-84342070080598591562011-05-19T20:15:00.000-07:002011-05-19T20:19:44.044-07:00The Truth.So do you want to know why I <i>really</i> haven't been on here much these past couple of months? He likes to blast rap music or of course my all time favorite- metal, while I love listening to my dad's old Simon and Garfunkel records. He comes home laughing about some pretty crude jokes he hears from the guys at work, while I still giggle at jokes about chickens crossing roads. If you haven't gotten the picture yet, check out his <a href="http://throughhawkseye.tumblr.com">tumblr</a> and see for yourself. I love him to death, but I think what makes our marriage work {no matter how ridiculous it may be} is how different we really are. <br /><br />Except that just the other day, while checking out his tumblr and looking through the ridiculous pictures he posted, I saw this letterpress card. I laughed so hard I almost peed my pants. For some reason, we finally found something we both think is funny! I know you are probably thinking, big deal, but trust me it is a BIG deal. I definitely had to go buy this card today. This may be the only time in our lives we both laugh at the same thing... well, except for Family Guy of course. <br /><br /><center><img src="http://ny-image0.etsy.com/il_570xN.226001364.jpg" width="400"><br /><small><a href="http://www.etsy.com/shop/shopsaplingpress">{Source}</a></small></center><br /><br />Those poor unicorns.Ashley Grayhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16174120323022120302noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5283625589852694447.post-12474920067747609842011-04-25T08:59:00.000-07:002011-04-25T13:15:36.935-07:00. . . Isn't he just the most adorable kid in the world? He's so full of energy and love, and has the cutest little voice in the world. He pushed me on the swings, chased squirrels like a madman, and blew bubbles like a pro- he blew a bubble then bounced it on his elbow more than twenty times! Isn't that insane? <br /><center><br /><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/32196061@N06/5643863917/" title="Untitled by ashley_jean, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5262/5643863917_b7ee6803ce_o.jpg" width="400" alt=""></a><br><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/32196061@N06/5643863363/" title="Untitled by ashley_jean, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5021/5643863363_968b5ec3d5_o.jpg" width="400" alt=""></a><br><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/32196061@N06/5643864897/" title="Untitled by ashley_jean, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5301/5643864897_7aa85074d5_o.jpg" width="200" alt=""></a><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/32196061@N06/5644431752/" title="Untitled by ashley_jean, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5264/5644431752_dbb0a229f3_o.jpg" width="200" alt=""></a><br /></center><br /><img src="http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5041/5642211890_90a4d72163_o.jpg" width="150">Ashley Grayhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16174120323022120302noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5283625589852694447.post-43544254332307030262011-04-21T15:41:00.001-07:002011-04-21T18:39:07.638-07:00The Dress.Today I decided to try on one of <a href="http://hannahlenore.goodsie.com">Hannah's dresses</a> (one that I don't already own for myself, but am now thinking I want to buy), and take a few pictures. I'm hoping to take a few new pictures for <a href="http://hannahlenore.goodsie.com">Hannah's site soon</a>. The Kenya dress is the perfect spring/summer-time dress, and I wanted to show just how versatile it really is. It can be dressed up or down, paired with heels or flip-flops (or if you are like me moccasins), and it is so stinking comfy. I pictured myself wearing this on the beach in Hawaii, but posing in front of an old fence will have to do for now. While I didn't have enough time or energy to photograph all her dresses today, here are a couple shots. <br /><br /><center><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/32196061@N06/5641888432/" title="Green3 by ashley_jean, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5149/5641888432_6f3d858967_o.jpg" width="200" alt="Green3"></a><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/32196061@N06/5641319693/" title="Green2 by ashley_jean, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5109/5641319693_9a7bfd9f14_o.jpg" width="200" alt="Green2"></a><br><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/32196061@N06/5641319023/" title="Green1 by ashley_jean, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5262/5641319023_da56fcc91d_o.jpg" width="400" alt="Green1"></a></center><br /><br />My favorite part is that the green sheer fabric is longer in the back, and it makes for a great twirling dress- your inner 6 year old would love it. It also comes with a matching drawstring belt, but I like to pair everything with the belt shown, I just can't help it. <br /><br />Also, just so you know, all proceeds from Hannah's shop go to fund her missionary work. She is currently in Liberia where she is working with <a href="www.amaniliberia.com">Amani Ya Juu</a> to open their newest location. She continues to need funding so that she can stay in Africa until November, and then go back again later of course. Hannah plans on spending her life working in the missionary field, so support is always needed. She has a new project she's starting soon as well, and I will keep you updated when that gets underway.<br /><br /><img src="http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5041/5642211890_90a4d72163_o.jpg" width="150">Ashley Grayhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16174120323022120302noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5283625589852694447.post-21107648063725324112011-04-16T20:37:00.000-07:002011-04-16T20:55:42.823-07:00Knocked Up Out.No, I'm not pregnant but I do have a funny story about getting "knocked up". <br /><br />Yesterday, I went to sub for an hour in the Kindergarten class where I used to student teach. When I sat down with the kids, one of the little boys runs up to me and screams, "MRS. GRAY CAN WE PLAY THAT GAME WHERE I GET KNOCKED UP?"<br /><br />The game is 'Knock Out'. How do you explain to a 5 year old what the difference is, especially when laughing hysterically? <br /><br /><center><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/32196061@N06/5625953579/" title="photo-1 by ashley_jean, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5265/5625953579_13d5029d4f_o.jpg" width="400" alt="photo-1"></a><br /><small>{I had to share an adorable picture with such an adorable story. I love Spring and all the wonderfullness of it (yup, that's a word I don't care what you say). What more could you ask for than pretty backyards, yummy treats, pregnant bellies, fresh flowers, spring dresses, happy dogs, and bbqs? The only thing I'm missing is my hammock and a day off work, but that will come soon. <br /><br /><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/32196061@N06/5590799151/" title="87/365 by ashley_jean, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5229/5590799151_4ba843d8ba.jpg" width="400" alt="87/365"></a><br><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/32196061@N06/5590797429/" title="91/365 by ashley_jean, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5301/5590797429_3e7959c2d7.jpg" width="400" alt="91/365"></a><br><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/32196061@N06/5590797795/" title="90/365 by ashley_jean, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5061/5590797795_c78380c234.jpg" width="200" alt="90/365"></a><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/32196061@N06/5591389222/" title="89/365 by ashley_jean, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5147/5591389222_33e5faf057.jpg" width="200" alt="89/365"></a><br><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/32196061@N06/5590798417/" title="88/365 by ashley_jean, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5065/5590798417_51fd48a48f_z.jpg" width="400" alt="88/365"></a><br><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/32196061@N06/5578713282/" title="85/365 by ashley_jean, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5254/5578713282_4a67153e4d.jpg" width="200" alt="85/365"></a><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/32196061@N06/5591390646/" title="Day86/365 by ashley_jean, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5100/5591390646_6327f729a8.jpg" width="200" alt="Day86/365"></a><br /><br />And please say a prayer that I survive this week. Even though it's the middle of the semester all of my classes are coming to an end. I have my PACT (a hundred or so page report/videotape/lesson plan) due Sunday, my RICA (four hour reading instruction test) on Saturday, my VAPA (visual and performing arts) class final due tomorrow, and tonight is the last night of my technology instruction course. Holy MOLY! But then all I have left for this semester is student teaching, including two weeks of solo teaching, and an observation final, neither of which I'm stressed about!<br /><br />PS If I do survive this week, I promise I'll start posting more than just my Project 365 pictures... really, I will.Ashley Grayhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16174120323022120302noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5283625589852694447.post-50362175684670165492011-03-27T18:23:00.000-07:002011-03-31T20:02:01.232-07:00Project ThreeSixtyFive: Weeks Eleven & Twelve.Late again, but that's alright. With school and work, my 365 pictures have been the last on my list. But I've finally gotten them all edited and uploaded. Hopefully I can stay on track this week, I really don't want to fall behind on this. I'm also still working hard on my 40 days 40 bags project, and the house is looking great. I love getting organized, it feels wonderful. Here are my pictures from the past two weeks:<br /><br /><center><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/32196061@N06/5566546030/" title="71/365 by ashley_jean, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5270/5566546030_5c3cd499f5.jpg" width="200" alt="71/365" /></a><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/32196061@N06/5566546180/" title="72/365 by ashley_jean, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5022/5566546180_0e6b1d044b.jpg" width="200" alt="72/365" /></a><br><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/32196061@N06/5549025840/" title="77/365 by ashley_jean, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5175/5549025840_a3dacba417_z.jpg" width="200" alt="77/365" /></a><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/32196061@N06/5566546228/" title="73/365 by ashley_jean, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5019/5566546228_8c2429b931_z.jpg" width="200" alt="73/365" /></a><br><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/32196061@N06/5566546238/" title="74/365 by ashley_jean, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5186/5566546238_153d46ccab.jpg" width="200" alt="74/365" /></a><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/32196061@N06/5566546244/" title="75/365 by ashley_jean, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5264/5566546244_1b0a8b05a9.jpg" width="200" alt="75/365" /></a><br><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/32196061@N06/5566546250/" title="76/365 by ashley_jean, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5300/5566546250_f9989cf040.jpg" width="200" alt="76/365" /></a><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/32196061@N06/5565975743/" title="78/365 by ashley_jean, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5062/5565975743_b5659bb5ae.jpg" width="200" alt="78/365" /></a><br><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/32196061@N06/5565975755/" title="79/365 by ashley_jean, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5065/5565975755_b2579420eb_z.jpg" width="200" alt="79/365" /></a><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/32196061@N06/5565975763/" title="80/365 by ashley_jean, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5301/5565975763_520b2b3993_z.jpg" width="200" alt="80/365" /></a><br><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/32196061@N06/5578713264/" title="81/365 by ashley_jean, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5178/5578713264_45b0744611.jpg" width="200" alt="81/365"></a><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/32196061@N06/5578713270/" title="82/365 by ashley_jean, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5262/5578713270_0d581cc677.jpg" width="200" alt="82/365"></a><br><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/32196061@N06/5578713274/" title="83/365 by ashley_jean, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5104/5578713274_a2ff0140d6.jpg" width="200" alt="83/365"></a><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/32196061@N06/5578713280/" title="84/365 by ashley_jean, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5142/5578713280_cb758e8644.jpg" width="200" alt="84/365"></a><br /><br /><small>{//horton//diamond//charm bracelet//craft closet//buttons//baby shoes//girl scout vest//best tea ever//favorite little girl//mommy and me//dinner//vine//40 days progress//jordan//} </small></center>Ashley Grayhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16174120323022120302noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5283625589852694447.post-71013843837101801992011-03-24T09:36:00.000-07:002011-03-24T09:59:40.375-07:00A Hannah Update.Holy cow, I miss my sister so much. It's actually a lot harder than I thought it would be, but I'm so proud of her. She started a <a href="http://www.amaniliberia.com">blog for Amani Liberia,</a> where you can read all about the creation of the newest Amani, and find the most inspirational stories. It's so amazing what they are doing for these women, I can't even put it into words. Here is a video from the fashion show Korto Momolu did in Colombus in support of Amani.<br /><br /><br /><small><center>{I spy a little sister in there}</small></center><br><br /><iframe title="YouTube video player" width="640" height="390" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/XKvN58sPkgo" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe><br /><br />Aren't those designs gorgeous? And doesn't Hannah look beautiful (she's sitting next to Stephanie during the fashion show)? <br /><br />I also want to remind everyone that <a href="http://hannahlenore.goodsie.com">Hannah's shop</a> is still full of beautiful dresses and necklaces. She continues to need support for her missionary work so that she is able to stay in Africa for the next year, and possibly years to come. While I want her to get home already, I believe in what she is doing and want to ask for everyone's continued support.Ashley Grayhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16174120323022120302noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5283625589852694447.post-12180784819975437722011-03-21T19:29:00.000-07:002011-03-22T12:46:22.979-07:00What A Charmer.My sister made me the most beautiful charm bracelet after I graduated from college, and I'm finally getting around to sharing pictures of it (I graduated almost three years ago). She collected antique charms from all over, and made the bracelet with three different types of chain. She even made it so that it could be attached to a longer chain and worn as a necklace. <br /><br /><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/32196061@N06/5549025840/" title="77/365 by ashley_jean, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5175/5549025840_a3dacba417_z.jpg" width="400" alt="77/365" /></a><br /><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/32196061@N06/5548444051/" title="Untitled by ashley_jean, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5019/5548444051_fea9950926.jpg" width="400" alt="" /></a><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/32196061@N06/5549026362/" title="Untitled by ashley_jean, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5030/5549026362_d737fd6464.jpg" width="200" alt="" /></a><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/32196061@N06/5548450379/" title="Untitled by ashley_jean, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5018/5548450379_32a331c6bc.jpg" width="200" alt="" /></a><br /><br />Each charm has a special meaning, but the best is the girl on top of the world. She said it's because I've always thought the world revolves around me- yup, even when making the sweetest gift in the world, she's still a typical little sister (who has no idea what she's talking about by the way!) I also love the grapes for my wedding, and the book and apple for teaching.Ashley Grayhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16174120323022120302noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5283625589852694447.post-19866173741892135952011-03-20T23:41:00.000-07:002011-03-21T00:06:28.019-07:00For The Love Of Monday.Mondays are my favorite. No matter how stressful they may be, they are always a sign of a fresh start. After reading <a href="http://sometimessweet.blogspot.com/2011/03/one-week-to-better-me.html">Danielle's post</a> on her five goals for the week, I decided to set my own. It's always so easy to get stuck on one area of your life that you want to improve, and the rest just starts to slip. What better way to keep yourself well-rounded than by setting five goals each week, in very specific categories that reach every part of your life. I'm feeling quite inspired as you can probably tell. <br /><br /><center><a href="http://www.etsy.com/shop/retrostiletto?ref=top_trail"><img src="http://ny-image0.etsy.com/il_570xN.203281288.jpg" width="300"></a><small><br />{Print by Livy Love Designs; Click image for source}</small></center><br /><br />Nutrition- Kick the sugar habit for the week and drink lots of water. This means no giving in to the 'Wednesday Sweets' in the staff room, which for some reason like to appear every day of the week just to torture me. <br /><br />Exercise- Yoga class Tuesday and Thursday night- there are no excuses for missing it this week. <br /><br />Relationships- Make dinner for Jordan at least three times this week. I've been such a slacker in the housewife area, it's time to start working on that. <br /><br />Creativity- Get caught up on my 365 project & make the star garland for Maren's birthday party. I will post more about this project soon. <br /><br />MeTime- Finish reading <a href="http://www.christianbook.com/christian-atheist-believing-living-doesnt-exist/craig-groeschel/9780310327899/pd/327899?kw=the%20christian%20atheist&event=PPCSRC&p=1018818&cm_mmc=Google-_-Titles-_-christian%20living-_-the%20christian%20atheist&gclid=CNqrjMeK36cCFQI3gwodpU-p-w">The Christian Atheist</a>.Ashley Grayhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16174120323022120302noreply@blogger.com5
