Small Planet, Big Dreams.

Liz posted a Small Planet picture the other day, and I am officially obsessed. After finding my house, I started searching for places to call my home someday. Here are a few of my favorites:

{my house: fair oaks, ca}

{middle of nowhere, oregon}
Dream house
{dream home in ireland}

Now go download the app yourself and let the daydreaming begin. And don't forget to enter my giveaway for a Shabby Apple dress.

Happy Monday!

Dear Summer, Please Hurry.

There is nothing like finishing your first year of grad school to get you excited for summer. I honestly cannot wait, only 24 more days. And yes, I'm counting down. I even thought about making a paper chain, which I might do tonight. Being a teacher means that I'll always have "summer break", and you won't. I'm sorry, didn't mean to rub that in your face.

So because I'm too excited to concentrate on studying for the huge exam I have in 3 hours, I wrote a to-do list. Not a list of things I actually need to get done, but a list of all the things I want to accomplish this summer. A few of which are on my 2010 To-Do List. As you can tell, I'm a little obsessed with making lists.

So here it goes. . .

♥ Go on an unplugged mini-vacation with Jordan. Oh, and I'm taking a 7 day hiatus from the internet on the first full week of summer break.

♥ Take my keyboard out from under my bed, and learn how to play it.

♥ Take a lot of pictures with my Holga, and have Kellie teach me how to develop the film.

♥ Finally read the entire new testament. (I have ADD when it comes to reading my Bible & I like to jump around a lot.)

♥ Try Bikram Yoga. Sign up for the $20 for 2 weeks @ Sunrise Hot Yoga.

♥ Read, Read, Read. I need to make a must-read summer book list. Any suggestions?

♥ Play with my kids more.

♥ Seriously clean the entire house. I already wrote a Spring Summer Cleaning To-Do List.

♥ Go on picnics (a lot) and fly kites.

♥ Change my name. Yeah, yeah, yeah... I know it's been a year but I'm slow. At least I changed it through SS.

♥ Lay in my hammock.

♥ Finish my wedding scrapbook (finally!)

♥ B&B vacation with Liz. We need to set a date and find a place soon. I'm getting anxious for this one.

♥ Work on our Lystography book.

♥ Finish my Dr. Seuss collection.

Dandelion Gray.

I cannot wait to have kids. Okay, I can wait a little while. But I am really excited, and so is Jordan.

Awhile ago we came up with a name for our future son, Royce Maitland Gray. Royce was Jordan's great grandfather, and Maitland is my brother's middle name. Maitland was also my great (great?) grandfather as well? I need to look into that. But regardless, I am in love with that name.

And then the other day I came up with my girl name. I was a little worried that Jordan would just laugh at me, but he actually seems to be considering it. Maybe because he knows how much I love it, and he's probably afraid I'll cry if he says he doesn't like it. Which, to be honest, I probably will.

I want to name my daughter Dandelion Lenore Gray. Dandelions have always been my favorite, and Lenore is my sister's middle name. I absolutely adore this name. So please don't laugh too hard, or just don't tell me when you do.

My Perfect Day.

I'm such a daydreamer. I absolutely love getting lost in my own thoughts. As long as it isn't nighttime, because I have an irrational fear of the dark. Yeah, getting lost in my thoughts in the dark is NOT a good idea. But in the middle of the day, it's my favorite. I think that's why I also love napping as well. Daydreaming and napping are my favorite hobbies by far.

So here is what I daydream about, my perfect day.

7a.
Breakfast in bed with Jordan.

8a.
Yoga class and a long solo-run. (I need my alone/quiet time)

10a.
Take a shower, twist my hair, paint my face, throw on a comfy dress, and slip into my favorite pair of moccasins.

11a.
Walk with Horton & Jordan, go through the village, run away from the chickens, down to the river, lay out in the sun, splash in the water.

1p.
Lunch at Sunflower on the walk home, feed Horton my leftovers because he deserves them.

2p.
Read a good book while laying in my hammock next to my vegetable garden.

4p.
Antiquing/Thrifting with Hannah & Liz.

Dinner date on the back patio of Carmalitas with Jordan.
