On A Brighter Note.

I'm doing a lot of trusting lately and it feels great.

And thank you all for your kind words yesterday and this past week, it means the world to me.

Another Post About Sunshine.

"Oh, how sweet the light of day,
And how wonderful to live in the sunshine!
Even if you live a long time, don't take a single day for granted.
Take delight in each light-filled hour."
-Ecclesiastes 11:7

Have I told you how excited I am for summer? Yeah, sorry. Sometimes I can bet a bit repetitive. It's probably the ADD. But I bet you didn't know that I am REALLY excited for this summer.

Sunday was pretty amazing, and pretty horrible at the same time. It was a perfect summer day. Except that it isn't summer yet; I had to go back to school/work on Monday and now it's raining. God is teaching me how to be patient, that's for sure. Here are a few pictures from Sunday's adventures with Liz, Iris, and Elise. Did I mention how perfect it was?

Oh, and Iris- Don't think I've forgotten about the pictures of you and what used to be my swing! Once I find my camera cord. . .

Crazy Love.

Lately I have been so overwhelmed with grad school, my job, and attempting to get in shape before May 1st. While I have been able to stay on top of everything, it's been at the cost of my own sanity. I know I'm getting in over my head when I stop reading. Reading is my escape, it really is the only thing that can balance out my life. Whether I'm reading a cheesy best seller, or my Bible, I always use books as a form of therapy. No matter how bad my day was, I know I can always crawl into bed with a good book. Then there are times when I stop reading, I just don't have time. But to be honest I have to make time, otherwise I might just go insane. And a crazy Ashley is not a fun Ashley, trust me on that one.

I was so excited when my package from Amazon came today. I bought three new books, and I will tell you all about them soon, promise. The first one I am starting is Crazy Love by Francis Chan.

I seriously can't wait for summer break, I'm going to read a million books to make up for all this time I lost. Also, I really want to start participating in The Slow Readers Book Club again. I was so excited when I started, but I let life get in the way. No more of that nonsense.

Welcome Back, Sunshine.

"But may they who love you be like the sun when it rises in its strength."
Judges 5:31

The weather was so beautiful today. Nothing could bring me down, not even studying for this exam. I took my books to the park, and sprawled out in the grass. I love the sun, I love this time of year.

Now I'm inside the library because the mosquitoes started attacking, but I just can't stop thinking about all the things I'm looking forward to this Spring:

Hammocks.

Camping.

Flowers.

Trails.

Swimming.

Swings.

Kites.

Clotheslines.

Picnics.

& so much more.

Be Yourself.

"Do you want to stand out? Then step down. Be a servant If you puff yourself up, you'll get the wind knocked out of you. But if you're content to simply be yourself, your life will count plenty"

Matthew 23:11-12

I hope that made you smile as much as I did.
