This is the view from their front patio, need I say more?

On Saturday we went for a {very difficult} hike up a mountain to a hidden lake, which overlooks the most beautiful lake in the world, which where I thought we were spending the day. Jordan forgot to mention the part about hiking up a rocky mountain, and I wasn't prepared at all. Who knew hiking in flip flops wasn't that hard? This was probably the most breathtaking place I've ever been, and there was even a guy playing an accordion up the mountainside. Talk about perfection.
{The second picture below is the lake we hiked to, which is at the top of the mountain in the first picture}

That evening we had a BBQ at the cabin, and went out to check on Jordan's tree. His grandparents planted a tree every time a grandchild was born. Isn't that the sweetest thing? Oh, and I learned how to make origami cranes, which I'm using for something fun soon.

Sunday we went on a walk down the railroad tracks to another one of my favorite places in the entire world. You can only get to Moss Spray Falls by walking down a hidden path off the railroad tracks a few miles outside of Dunsmuir.

We went on a bear hunt Sunday night. And by bear hunt, I don't mean we went out trying to shoot a bear. We just went out for a drive looking for bears. We saw deer, and bear poop, but no bears. I sang, "We're going for a bear hunt, we're going for a bear hunt, a mighty mighty bear hunt, mighty mighty bear hunt", until I drove everyone crazy.

{Typical dorky picture of Jordan & me}

Talk about the best Labor Day weekend ever.
