I Can't Wait

Sometimes when life gets rough I enjoy a good long session of daydreaming. Here are a few things I've been daydreaming about lately, which won't be dreams for long.

I can't wait...

To work in 'Beach Babies' nursery at church.

9/365
To Skype with my sister. Yes, I miss her already.

To get new glasses from Warby Parker.

For 6.11.2011 aka first day of summer break.

To get outside & play around with my film cameras more often.

& for my hair to finally grow as long as hers.

Update: I wrote this list yesterday and then I Skyped with Hannah for an hour before bed. Let me just tell you- Skype is a lifesaver. I feel so much better that we have it, it's going to make the next year a lot more bearable.

Superhero.

If I could have just one little superhero power, it would be to freeze time. Because that's the only thing that I'm really lacking in my life right now- enough time in the day.

Well, that and an adorable little girl like this one.

Chevron.

I am so in love with Chevron print anything lately {I realize it's super trendy, but this is one trend I adore}. Here are a few of my favorites I've spotted lately:

I Can't Wait.

I definitely think it's time for another 'I Can't Wait' post. This week has been full of excitement & lots of plans are being made. Here is a little peek into all the amazing stuff I'm looking forward to.

I can't wait...

For Hannah to update her shop {Yep, she's busy sewing new dresses & making jewelry!}.

Wish List: Native Edition.

When I was little my best friend's father was native american, and I always loved going to their house. Even though he was a tad bit scary, I was intrigued. I absolutely love native american art, jewelry, and clothing. Recently one of the grandfather's of a student brought me a catalog from the Southwest Indian Foundation. They have some of the most amazing things for sale, and all proceeds go to help the tribes.

Beautiful, huh?

I Can't Wait.

While I love everything that Katie blogs, her I Can't Wait posts always make me smile. I love making lists, so I'm sure that has something to do with it. But I also love the anticipation of making a list of all the things I'm excited to do. So often my to-do lists are full of things I really really really don't want to even think about doing, but have to. So today, I decided to make my own I Can't Wait list & be a total copycat. Here it is.

I can't wait...

To go to Renegade with my favorite girls.

To take the world's longest nap once this semester is over.

For my sister's online shop to open.

To visit McCloud this winter.

To start using my cameras again & hopefully steal my dad's old Nikon.

& of course for Santa to get here already.

Wish List: Cold Weather Edition.

Dear Santa,

I am horrible at dressing for this cold weather. Wearing dresses and light sweaters just isn't cutting it. So how about you send me a couple of these pretties for Christmas? Thank you.

Love, Ashley.

{PS Isn't it obvious that I don't know how to dress for cold weather? Half of these have short sleeves. I really need help.}

Oh, and Santa in case your elves aren't very good at sewing, you can get these sweaters/jackets here:
1. Anthropologie 2. Modcloth 3,4&5. Urban Outfitters 6. Anthropologie

My Dream Neighborhood.

Someday I want to live somewhere with a view, a dirt road, and an apple orchard down the street. I love Apple Hill, and plan on moving there someday. Okay, I may not actually live in Apple Hill but I at least want to move to Placerville, which is close enough for me. On Sunday Jordan and I drove up there for lunch. We bought a bunch of apples, saw two beautiful wolves, and ate the most delicious pumpkin pie cheesecake in the world. I let myself slide on the whole no eating sugar thing, I just couldn't resist. But honestly, who wouldn't want to live somewhere like this? I think it's magical.

A Perfect Fall Day.

One of my favorite things to do is to plan out exactly what I would do if I had a free day, with no obligations, no homework, and no worries. Here is what my 'perfect fall day' would look like:

9a Holy Yoga (I got the DVDs in the mail this weekend & I'm in love).
10a Breakfast & coffee with Jordan in the village.
11p Horse-back ride along the river.
1p Picnic lunch with (& prepared by) Jordan.
2p Apple Hill with a few favorite people.
6p Dinner at my parent's house.
8p Board games back at home.
10p  Fall asleep while reading a good book.

And, of course, the weather would be about 70 degrees with just a few fluffy clouds in sight, I would be able to sneak in a nap, all of my favorite people would be in town, and my hair would cooperate so any pictures taken would come out good. That's all I would need to have a perfect fall day, sounds reasonable enough to me. But enough day dreaming for one day, back to reality.

For The Love of Toys.

I really don't think anybody is too old for toys. At least, I know I'm not. Look at how adorable these toys are, don't they make you want to be six-years old again?

A rabbit on wheels? Yes, please. By Pearson Maron.

Most adorable Elephant by Skunkboy Creatures. I have my very own Skunkboy Owl, be jealous.

A sly little fox by Sleepy King.

Jordan said I couldn't have any more dogs, but I bet this one he would let slide. By Friends of Socktopus.

Ummm, most amazing toy ever. Beatles finger puppets by Pintassil Prints.

VeggieWooden burger by Arts of the Heart. Yum.

I am also obsessed with board games and children's books. I collect both, and am especially proud of all the Pogs and Slammers I still have. I knew that would make you jealous!
